The National Unity Government (NUG)

• In Tanintharyi Region, Kawthaung Township People’s Defence Force burnt confiscated narcotic drugs.

• Under the Ministry of Defence-NUG, Shwebo District PDF Command (6) completed the collective training of commanders (1).

• Under the Ministry of Defence-NUG, the Special Taskforce of Pyi District PDF cleared mines and bomb fragments.

Revolution Activities

• In Sagaing Region, the junta army in three trucks entered Nyaungbinzin Village Tract and took away people’s belongings.

• In Lashio Township of Shan State, a rocket landed and exploded on Thursday evening. Consequently, a civilian lost their life in the incident and local people are concerned about the military threat.

• Burmese Women’s Union reported that 332 women had lost lives all over the country due to the junta’s airstrikes, heavy weapons and attacks on the ground from January 1 to June 30.

• The leaders of Thailand and Malaysia agreed that a sustainable solution related to Myanmar’s affairs would be gained only through dialogue inclusive of all stakeholders.

• In Bangladesh, there were cases of landslides at the Rohingya camps due to heavy rain. Reportedly, 15 people lost their lives. Therefore, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees called to extend the land to reduce over-crowding in the refugee camps.

• Sisters to Sisters(S2S) documented 295 cases of gender-based violence in Myanmar from January 2025 to June 2026.

• The UN Human Rights Council adopted resolution (A/HRC/62/L.20) on the human rights situation of Rohingya Muslims and other minorities in Myanmar on July 6, 2026, during its 62nd session in Geneva, Switzerland.

• In Pauk Township of Magway Region, the junta army set fire to Tauksharbin Village.

• Eagle Brotherhood Guerrilla Force conducted an attack via parcel mine on the junta’s Department of Immigration and Population in Sagaing in the previous month.

• In Kyaikmayaw Prison of Mon State, the junta’s staff have committed ill-treatment and human rights violations against political prisoners, according to Political Prisoners’ Network Myanmar.

• In the south of Myawaddy Township in Karen State, the junta army has regularly carried out bombing by fighter jets. Consequently, security has tightened along the Thailand-Myanmar border and the Thai authorities have issued a security warning to local residents living on the border.

• In Indaw Township of Sagaing Region, there was a battle in Sipai Village on the Mandalay-Myitkyina Road. Reportedly, dead bodies of the junta soldiers were confiscated along with weapons.

Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)

• In Karen State, there was a local battle between the junta army and Karen National Union Brigade (6) near Kawkarait on the Myawaddy-Kawkarait Asia Road on Friday morning.

• KNU strongly denounced the allegation that Karen National Liberation Army had been associated with some entertainment businesses in Bangkok.

The Military Junta

• The junta’s Ministry of Information claimed that 6,105 individuals had been granted certification for printing, publishing and news media agencies since 2014.

• In Bangkok, a special meeting will be held on Sunday between ASEAN Foreign Ministers and the junta’s Foreign Minister to discuss relations between ASEAN and Myanmar as well as Myanmar’s affairs.

• At the 23rd India–Myanmar National Level Meeting held in New Delhi, Myanmar officials pledged that they would not let their territory be used for activities that harm India’s security interests.

• The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing called to fully complete highway projects, which are strategic with neighbouring countries, during their administration.

• The military junta announced that they had regained control over Monywa-Yagyi-Kalewa Road. Two days after that, the junta leader called to raise the momentum for the implementation of India-Myanmar-Thailand highway and Kaladan Multi-Modal Transit Transport Project.

• The junta’s Hluttaw (Parliament) rejected the ASEAN 5-Point Consensus. Reportedly, a proposal for the review was approved without any objection.

• The junta’s Ministry of Construction has called for expression of interest from local and international investors for the Yadanarbone Cybercity Project associated with the junta leader.

• U Khin Yi, Speaker of the junta’s Pyithu Hluttaw, said that it is necessary to adopt new laws if there are not sufficient existing laws to protect farmers’ interest.
