Only MMPO members’ films get allowed to be shot

The Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization announced on August 8 that only films, series and songs featuring artistes and professionals who are members of the organization will be allowed to be shot starting from October 1.

MPPO is providing recommendations when applying for film and related business licenses in accordance with the provisions of the 1996 Motion Pictures Law.

In addition, when shooting theatrical films, series, videos, music videos, documentaries and short movies, the approval to shoot and submit to the censor board for censorship must be carried out in accordance with the existing laws of the country and the provisions of the constitution of the Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization, according to the announcement.
