Following the military council's declaration of yet another week-long ceasefire beginning on April 22, four women, among them an 11-year-old girl, were killed in an airstrike by junta forces.
A drone strike on Laek Khamaw village in Kyaukphyu Township on the morning of April 25 resulted in the deaths of Daw Thein Thein Aye (47), Daw Chaw Su (39), and Daw Chaw Su's daughter Ma May Thazin Khaing (11), as reported by a villager who witnessed the event.
At approximately 10:00 AM on April 25, a drone conducted five flyovers above the southwest area of Laek Khamaw village and released eight bombs.
