Elderly man severely wounded, several houses collapse following attack by Navy artillery in Kyaukphyu

It has been reported that an older man sustained serious injuries after being struck by a shell launched by the junta Navy in Kyaukphyu Township, Rakhine State, leading to the collapse of several houses.
The injured individual is U Aung Zan, an 86-year-old resident of Nga/Oak village in Kyaukphyu Township.
The Navy vessel discharged artillery in the water located between Nga/Oak village and Wa Myaung village in Kyaukphyu Township, launching large-caliber shells at approximately 8 pm on October 10, without any ongoing conflict.
A resident from Kyaukphyu informed Narinjara that a Navy shell fell in Nga/Oak village and detonated, injuring U Aung Zan.
“Numerous naval patrols are present in the coastal regions of the Arakan Sea close to Kyaukphyu, Ramree, and Man Aung, Sittwe, and Thandwe townships. Last night, multiple shells were launched from a stationary naval ship. It affected the Nga/Oak village. U Aung Zan sustained critical injuries to his chest. He is in critical condition. He is nearly 90 years old,” he said.
The blast from the artillery shell caused damage to several homes in Nga/Oak village.
