Directors Thet Lwin aka Zambu Htun Thet Lwin and Aung Chan Lu aka Aye Chan Aung arrested under Election Protection Law

Action has been taken against Director Thet Lwin aka Zambu Htun Thet Lwin and Director Aung Chan Lu aka Aye Chan Aung under the Law on the Protection of Multiparty Democratic General Elections from Obstruction, Disruption and Destruction.

The government is working to successfully hold the multiparty democratic general election on December 28, 2025 in order to implement the multi-party democracy system. In order to prevent the election from being disrupted by various means, the Law on the Protection of Multiparty Democratic General Elections from Obstruction, Disruption and Destruction was enacted on July 29, 2025, and effective action is being taken against those who do not comply with the law.

In this regard, on October 29, 2025, Director Thet Lwin aka Zambu Htun Thet Lwin and Director Aung Chan Lu aka Aye Chan Aung were arrested from their respective homes for supporting the supporters of terrorist organizations abroad and fugitives who wrote false criticisms on social media on the election awareness story “Khit Thamine Ko Done Sai Mae Thu Myar” and the artists who played in the story.
