Death toll in junta airstrike on two boarding schools rises to 22 in Kyauktaw

The death toll has risen to 22 after the Myanmar Air Force conducted an airstrike on two private boarding high schools, Pyinyar Pan Kin and Amyin Thit, in Thayet Ta Pin village, Kyauktaw Township, Arakan State. The village is located near the ancient Mahamuni image shrine.

Two local reporters, Naung Min Thu and Saw Shin May of Narinjara News, who went to cover the story, stated that as of 2 p.m. today, September 12, there were 19 students from Pyinyar Pan Kin Private High School and three from Amyin Thit Private High School among the dead, for a total of 22.
