To help fill the shortfall in aid caused by President Donald Trump’s suspension of U.S. foreign aid, the Chin Human Rights Organization (CHRO) is calling on Western governments to donate more funds for humanitarian relief in Myanmar.

The call was made in a statement issued by the CHRO on Jan. 28:

In response to the U.S. suspension of aid to Myanmar, the Chin Human Rights Organization (CHRO) urges the U.K., E.U., Canada, Australia, and other Western allies to increase support toward urgent humanitarian assistance.
