41 Dead, 227 injured, 7 rescued in Myittha Township following devastating earthquake


A powerful earthquake that struck on March 28 at 12:51 PM has left a trail of destruction in Myittha Township, Mandalay Region, resulting in 41 deaths, 227 injuries, and seven survivors rescued from collapsed structures.


According to a statement from the Myanmar Fire Service, intensive search and rescue operations were carried out in the aftermath of the quake, with assistance from humanitarian aid organizations. The teams worked tirelessly to save those trapped under rubble and provide emergency aid to the injured.


With search and rescue efforts now completed, the focus has shifted to ongoing clearance operations in the affected areas.
